The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). To fulfill the responsibility of administering the facility, the superintendent creates and maintains administrative files that relate to internal management of the institution, external relations, and the formalization of agreements between Framingham and other parts of the Dept. of Correction and other state agencies.
